Drawing and Painting Fundamentals Class

$275.00

Mixed-enrollment class for children ages 8 and up, teens, and adults.

Working one-on-one with the instructor, new students select from a range of age-appropriate introductory projects in pencil and pen-and-ink. Each student progresses at their own pace through a series of steps carefully designed to teach specific concepts and techniques such as proportion, placement, and line quality.

Having mastered the fundamentals of drawing, students then advance to watercolor to learn basic color theory, paint handling, and how to gradually build a successful painting.

With the completion of each project, students not only have a stand-alone, finished work of art to be proud of; they have new skills that, through continued learning and practice, will form the foundation of their artistic development. To this end, students may return to take this class again and again, undertaking sequentially more challenging and rewarding projects.
